Privacy Statement

Effective Date: August 2025

1. Introduction

At Quantum Toolset, we build lightweight, local-first tools and provide IT support services for small businesses and individuals. Our work may include software downloads, remote troubleshooting, managed agents installed on devices, and ongoing system monitoring. In every case, we are committed to protecting your privacy, securing your data, and being fully transparent in how we operate.

2. Data Collection

We do not require user accounts or logins. Our tools run locally on your device and do not transmit data to Quantum Toolset servers. Limited diagnostic information may be stored locally (on your device) to help with troubleshooting.

3. File Downloads

Software downloads from https://quantumtoolset.com are provided directly by us. All files are digitally signed or hosted securely to prevent tampering. We do not bundle adware, bloatware, or third-party installers.

4. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality (e.g., navigation, form validation). We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.

5. Third-Party Services

In some cases, our site may link to external services (e.g., documentation, Microsoft resources). These services are governed by their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them separately.

6. IT Support Services

When providing IT support, Quantum Toolset may request temporary access to your systems or networks. Any data viewed during support sessions is used solely for the purpose of diagnosing and resolving the issue. We do not collect, store, or share your information beyond what is necessary to complete the support request.

7. Remote Access

Remote access to devices is performed only with your consent and under your direct request (for example, during a troubleshooting session). We use secure, encrypted connections to ensure confidentiality. Sessions are limited to the scope of your support case and are terminated once the task is complete.

We do not maintain continuous or hidden access to your systems. No remote control software is left behind unless explicitly authorized by you as part of a managed services agreement.

8. Managed Agents

In some cases, Quantum Toolset may install a lightweight software agent on your device as part of ongoing IT support or managed services. This agent is used to provide essential functions such as:

  • Remote troubleshooting and secure support sessions
  • Automated health monitoring (e.g., disk space, update status)
  • Applying security or software patches when authorized

The agent does not collect personal files, communications, or browsing history. Data is limited to system health, performance, and security status required for IT maintenance. All communications between the agent and our systems are encrypted.

You may request removal of the agent at any time, and doing so will end any ongoing monitoring or management capabilities provided by Quantum Toolset.

9. Data Security

Quantum Toolset takes the security of your data seriously. We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of information.

  • All downloads and remote access sessions are transmitted over secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS, TLS, or equivalent).
  • Software agents, when installed, communicate only with authorized Quantum Toolset servers using encrypted channels.
  • Access to support tools and administrative systems is restricted to authorized personnel and logged for accountability.
  • No customer data is shared with third parties without explicit consent or legal requirement.

While we follow industry best practices to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to minimizing risks and responding promptly to any incidents.
